Delacroix Memorabilia

In his will, Delacroix gave virtually all of his everyday objects to his friends and relatives, as well as to Jenny Le Guillou. Yet the museum kept the items in the studio (easel, palettes, painting tables), a glass he used for washing up, a small group of decorated faiences and a pair of candlesticks. The collection also includes photographs of Delacroix toward the end of his life, taken by Pierre Petit and Carjat, along with a portrait of the artist painted by one of his friends, J.-M. Herbelin.
