During Delacroix's trip to Morocco in 1832, he was so captivated with the country that he made numerous notes and sketches, and also purchased many objects. The inventory drawn up after his death provides us with a glimpse of the clothing and accessories he brought back from Morocco, some of which are in the museum: burnooses, haiks, caftans, djellabas, jewelry, sabers, cushions, slippers, boots and ceramics.
