The museum has published online the first part of the Catalog of the public sales of paintings and drawings by Eugène Delacroix, focusing on the period between 1824 and 1975.
This database is the result of an inventory, compiled from the sales catalogs held by French public collections, of the paintings and drawings of Eugène Delacroix put up for sale since 1824.
It will enable researchers and collectors to reconstruct the history of the artist’s works and to determine the successive owners.
Available online since winter 2003, this database currently covers the period up to 1975. The data continues to be processed actively and is updated on a regular basis.
