The documentation department includes a library and documents concerning Delacroix and his entourage.
Â
The library was formed by the Friends of Eugène Delacroix association, which acquired all the older books published by Delacroix's principal historians (Alfred Robaut, André Joubin, Etienne Moreau-Nélaton, Raymond Escholier). It currently includes more than 1,000 works (monographs, exhibition catalogues, research and so on). It is constantly expanding.
Â
The documentation consists essentially of dossiers about works in the museum's collection as well as thematic dossiers.
The documentation department is open to researchers and students. Opening hours: Monday, Thursday, and Friday, 9:30 am to 4:30 pm by appointment at +33 (0)1.44.41.86.59 /58.
